The Model 3088/I powers up as soon as it is plugged into an AC outlet—there is no power switch.

LED status indicators

There are eight LEDs that provide information on the state of the unit. Figure 19 shows the location of the

front panel LEDs. Following ﬁgure 19 is a description of each LED’s function.

Power (Yellow)

The Power LED glows solid during normal operation. At startup, during the POST, the LED blinks once

every second. If the POST fails, the unit does not enter normal operation, and the LED blinks once every

0.4 seconds.

WAN LEDs

There are three WAN LEDs: Link, Tx, and Rx.

Link (Yellow)

The Link LED glows solid while a DSL link is established. While the DSL link is training the LED ﬂashes.

Tx (Yellow)

The Link LED ﬂashes as transmitted data is sent over the DSL link.

Rx (Yellow)

The Link LED ﬂashes as data is received from the DSL link.

There are no user-serviceable parts in the power supply section of the Model

3088/I. Fuse replacement should only be performed by qualiﬁed service per-
